Therapy

People often begin counselling when they seek some form of change in themselves or life that they are struggling to reach, or they may be dealing with the impact of trauma or changes which have already happened.

I see counselling/therapy process as a series of life changing conversations where we can take time with what concerns or matters to you.

It can bring clarity and profound transformation on all levels including how you feel in your body, your emotions, your thoughts, your spirituality (which might be your sense of connection with others and your environment) and in what brings life meaning to you. This can restore and/or develop our capacity to be ourselves and make choices which align with what matters to us.

I offer an initial meeting which gives you the opportunity to ask questions, get a sense of how you might feel working with me and opportunity to for us to talk specifically about how therapy could help you.  I would let you know if I felt I could not offer what you need and where possible,  refer you to another professional. You need not make a decision about whether you would like to work together at an initial meeting.  I think it is important you find someone you feel confident you could work well with and I respect this may not be me.

You can find out more about how we could work together using the links below.  If you are new to therapy you may also find my answers to FAQs could help you understand a bit more about what you could bring and how you might benefit.
